Pasalify - Multi Tenant Ecommerce SaaS Platform
Built Pasalify, a multi tenant ecommerce SaaS platform using Next.js, Node.js and MongoDB. Merchants get their own storefront on a subdomain or custom domain, and manage products, multi location inventory, orders and store design from one dashboard. Customers can browse, add to cart and check out on each store. It includes plans, roles and permissions, and transactional stock tracking.

Pasalify is a multi-tenant ecommerce platform I'm building end-to-end, both frontend and backend. Merchants sign up, get a hosted online store on their own subdomain or custom domain, and run their whole business from one dashboard.
Key Features
- Three apps, one codebase: the marketing site, merchant dashboard, and every merchant storefront are served by one Next.js app. The request hostname decides which one loads.
- Custom domains: merchants connect their own domain, provisioned automatically through the Vercel and Cloudflare APIs.
- Merchant dashboard: products and variants, categories, customers, orders, pages, banners, navigation, footer, and theme settings.
- Customer storefront: product browsing and filtering, customer accounts, saved addresses, cart, checkout with shipping-zone rates, and order confirmation.
- Multi-location inventory: On Hand / Reserved / Available stock per outlet, reservation expiry, low-stock alerts, stock counts, transfers, returns and exchanges, suppliers, purchase orders, and CSV reports.
- Plans and access control: subscription plans with feature limits, roles and permissions, and multiple stores per account.
Engineering Highlights
- Stock changes are transactional, idempotent and retry-safe, backed by an immutable inventory-movement ledger. Available stock is always calculated, never stored, so it can't drift.
- Separate JWT authentication for merchants and customers, refresh tokens, plus Redis-backed caching and rate limiting.
- Image uploads are processed with Sharp and stored on Amazon S3. Transactional email is sent over SMTP.
- Layered backend architecture (route => middleware => controller => service => model) with Joi validation.
- Storefront and public API responses had a median of 86–234 ms, measured on a staging store with 4,000+ products.
- Tested with Playwright end-to-end and unit suites, and documented in 120+ design decision records.
